Suave, sophisticated Gilderoy Fox has his mind set on winning the upcoming student election, and when Gilderoy Fox has his mind set, Gilderoy Fox gets what he wants. Gilderoy decides that Christopher’s talents are an opportunity not to be passed up, especially considering the bake sale his opposition is running next week, and if Christopher mistakes Gilderoy’s ploys for flirtation and decides he’d rather be hit on by a different kind of objectively attractive man (even though the advances would be entirely unwelcome but definitely not judged, thank you very much), well, that’s just what it takes to let the whole school agree on how much Gilderoy deserves to win.
